Since the mid-1980s, the proportion of synthetic fibers in textile fibers has been continuously increasing worldwide. From 1995 to the present, the proportion of synthetic fibers has surpassed that of natural fibers, becoming the main source of fibers used in textiles and clothing. In terms of production tonnage, although raw cotton increased from 17.99 million tons in 1992 to 19.198 million tons in 2002, the production of raw wool decreased from 1.719 million tons to 1.271 million tons during the same period. The proportion of both has decreased by 11% in 2002 compared to 1992. In the same 10 years, the significant growth in the production of synthetic filament yarn and staple fibers increased by 1.41 times and 0.56 times, respectively. Waterproof and Moisture-Permeable Coating Agent and Its Application

The coating finishing of fabrics is an important branch of textile post-finishing technology. It not only imparts unique style, feel, and appearance to the fabric but also endows the fabric with various functions, significantly enhancing the added value of the product. The main Applications of coated products can be divided into three categories: first, clothing, shoes, and hats; second, industrial fabrics; and third, decorative fabrics. Does adding a certain amount of electrolyte (such as salt or sodium carbonate) to the detergent improve the washing effect?

Adding an electrolyte with an opposite charge to the anionic surfactant can generally improve surface activity and reduce the critical micelle concentration (CMC). This is because increasing the concentration of counterions for ionic surfactants affects the diffusion double layer of the surfactant micelles, reducing the repulsive forces between surfactant ions, which in turn decreases the thickness of the double layer, making it easier for micelles to form, thus lowering surface tension and CMC. For example, in a Cl2H25·OSO3Na solution, increasing the NaCl concentration, such as adding 0.02 mol/L, can reduce the CMC from the original 0.0081 mol/L to 0.0038 mol/L, and with a concentration of 0.2 mol/L, the CMC drops to 0.00083 mol/L. Additionally, adding a small amount of salt (NaCl) to liquid detergents can also increase the concentration of the detergent, but the amount should not be excessive, or it may lead to precipitation. Generally, liquid detergents can add about 1% NaCl, while powdered detergents can add 20% to 40% Na2SO4.
